The visitors harbour at Uithoorn has been developed to provide better facilities for visiting pleasure boats, and recent visitors report a warm welcome from the harbour master and no problems with a size limit.
The Sjiek aan de Amstel restaurant on the quay comes highly recommended with a couple of courses, a decent bottle of wine and coffee for two costing just €60.
There is a public toilet and shower facility for visitors at Koningin Julianalaan 54A, open from 0700 to 2300 during the cruising season (April - October), and facilities for disposing of boat waste. Harbour dues (€7.50 in 2013) are collected by sloop hire firm Aemstel Boating.
